Tried 3.0, gained an extra frame or two but still not reaching that constant 30fps I'm looking for, (averaging 25fps)

Also, i'd like to know if your using dsplle or have atleast dumped the files to your pc. I'm curious about if you have atleast dumped them to your pc, because if so, i may have an idea as to why your having speed trouble.

I'm using version 3.0-204, and for sound, a check check in the configs reveals im using DSP HLE emulation, but I have dumped the DSP stuff and it's in the folder necessary.

Alright, well i figured that you would'nt use dsplle without knowing you were, because you would get abormal sound with that since your CPU can't keep up. I guess i might aswell reveal what i thought might have been the problem.

I noticed that in the per-game configuration, you had completely disabled DSP HLE, and since the per-game configs override the core settings, even if you had chosen DSP HLE in the audio tab, the program might have swithced to DSPLLE when you were running that particular game. Of course this could only happen if you had dumped the files to your pc, but wasn't planning to use them for the game. It's also kind of a longshot, i don't know if Dolphin would work this way since i never bother that much witht the per game config.

Anyway, just try what NV suggested

EDIT...Okay, so you already tried that...

You ARE playing the NTSC version correct?

Well if you have an average of 25 fps i guess the game is atleast very playable.

In exactly what areas are you getting fps drops and which areas are you running fullspeed?

I can run the game full speed on my rig except for Hyrule Field, Snowpoint Mountain and a (very) few other places

I don't know the difference in performance between our processors, but i don't think your CPU is inferior to my own, so you should be getting full speed on this game:S

I've only been running around the first few sections of the game right now, until I get things sorted. In the initial area it's all good, but once I walk to a fairly populated area of the map with a bit of water it starts dipping to around 23fps

I'll just keep messing around the hoping for the best then Big Grin

I see...I'm guessing the fairly populated area is Ordon village then, though i don't remember having speed problems with that area.

They're old, but try R6075 or R6225. Those are the builds i used to complete the game. No crashes or errors, not even the howling stone issue that so many people have experienced, though that may just be my luck lol.

Be warned. R6225 tends to lose various audio effects after you have played for a couple hours, you'll need to restart Dolphin once in a while if you use that build

Best of luck, i gotta go

You were using lle audio in the per game settings then and probably without lle on thread. Why did you change the default per game settings btw?

On my initial googlings looking for suggested configs one of them said to do that Tongue simple as
