Super Mario Galaxy Audio Issues

Although I do not own SMG, I strongly agree with the things been said here.
LLE is the only way to get proper sound and is the only logical to work on. I think HLE have more or less outplayed it's role even though it's good sometimes when you want both sound and performance. Truth is that HLE have been quite good with the games I have, it's only now with decent hardware I have started playing with LLE and enjoyed the Dolphin experience even more. 04-19-2011, 11:34 PM
I only use LLE now even though some games have a bit of slowdown with LLE. In Super Mario Galaxy 1/2 depending on what is happening my FPS can dip as low as 35 FPS - 45 FPS. Then again I mostly use Dolphin for testing and on the rare occasion playing a game, I use my PC to play PC games and playing games on less demanding emulators. I actually played through the entire game of Donkey Kong Country using LLE audio.

I am having similar problems and my system isn't slow either. Core I7 920 @ 4.0 ghz, GTX 570, 12 GB RAM. I am also using LLE and the sound constantly keep skipping. I also tried to play in low resolutions including at 1x. Any ideas? Thanks

Is this problem already fixed? I have the same problems like you all.
What should i do? This is my system: CPU: Intel I5 2500k - overclocked at 4,2GHz Graphics: GTX 570 RAM: 8 GB Is this the only game, which has issues with LLE? Should i enable LLE for all other games, because of a better sound emulation? 11-07-2011, 04:20 AM

Seems I posted here in april, however I did not own neither of the Super Mario Galaxy games at that time.
Now that I do own them and play them in Dolphin using DSP LLE I haven't noticed any issues with skipping sound. The sound is great just as the games. DSP LLE is great and I think that anyone with a high-end setup should use DSP LLE as default. 11-07-2011, 04:43 AM

This spring I built a Sandybridge rig with an i7 2600K which I even posted a thread in Delfino Plaza about when I OC'ed the hell out of it. Today I use stock clock because I feel no OC is needed. I felt that a ATi Radeon 2GB HD6950 was a suitable GPU to go along with it and I have seen other users here that have similar setups. It's a great setup, but I feel kinda excited about the upcoming Ivy bridge. Yeah Sandybridge is great, well spent money. 11-08-2011, 01:13 AM

How fast is your CPU? Yeah well the game is fully playable on stock speed. Read my thread which is linked in my signature for the settings I use and some screenshots. |
