I was kind of thinking about default controller profiles for various controllers in Dolphin, but this thread just made me nix the idea in my head again. Different drivers, OSes, variants of controllers just make it iffy idea at best...
Still no default controller profiles?

Well, and also that due to how the controllers lay out buttons or what those buttons are labeled as, you can't just assume what would be an intuitive control scheme for most users for a given controller.
But yes, I entirely agree with you with the rest. It would be a nightmare to keep a consistent UX. No thanks. 05-15-2016, 02:55 PM

Also I don't understand how you could set-up analog trigger on either Win or Mac since the configurator will straight-up set-up analog trigger like digital signal. I'm using the SCP DS3 Drivers, that'll make Dolphin recognize DualShock 3/DualShock 4 controllers as a Xbox 360 controller. Then, both rumble and analog triggers works out of the box (you just need to assign them in Dolphin). The motion controls won't be available but you can also use it with other tools/drivers like the crappy MotioninJoy or GlovePIE, for example...

There's an app called Joystick Mapper but it doesn't seem to address analog trigger nor Rumble. |
