Hello everyone,
Long time lurker here, first time poster.
So I've been trying to get Skyward Sword to work on Dolphin, but it seems that I can't get the performance I'm supposed to be getting according to the wiki page.
I'm using:
Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.6GHz
Sapphire Radeon HD 6770
2gb RAM
Foxconn G31MXP-K
Windows 7 Ultimate 64x
According to TheWing, the game is supposed to run at 30fps all the time perfectly, seeing as how he also uses an E8400 at the same clock speed as me.
Naturally, I'm also using revision 7719 with the same configuration.
With the "Skip EFB Access to CPU" setting checked I seem to get close to fullspeed at times, but whenever I fight an enemy the fps drops by a considerable amount. When "Skip EFB Access to CPU" is unchecked it's nowhere near fullspeed, regardless of the area I'm in.
Is there some kind of secret hidden setting I don't know of? I've played around with all the graphical enhancements, hacks and general configuration, but nothing seems to do the trick.
The only thing I can think of that could be the problem is my RAM, since the rest of my specs are equal (if not better) to TheWing's set-up. But does RAM really matter that much when it comes to Dolphin? I don't think I've ever heard of RAM being someone's bottleneck before.
Thanks in advance!
Steffan
