So does anyone know if any of the recent (since r6900 or so) changes to the DSP plugin structure fix any of the persistent-for-years RE sound problems? I still have these issues:
- RE4 Wii version: sound does not loop on HLE/LLE plugin, plays once perfectly then cuts out (tried JIT/JITIL, idle skipping on/off, dual core on/off, NOTHING helped) - this is a MAJOR gameplay issue because the music plays when there are enemies attacking, and stops playing when you've killed them all so it's sort of a heads-up to the player like the radio in Silent Hill
- REmake GC version: sound very flaky - in r6496 it at least TRIES to play about 50% of the time, but sometimes cuts out even if it does start to play
It's so frustrating that Dolphin otherwise emulates most of the RE games PERFECTLY except for sound!!! Sometimes I think the only way to get dev attention to RE problems is to put Mario or Link in the f-ing game...
