These fixes are great. I was actually working on the item textures and had them nearly finished when I checked this pack out, which makes me wish I had seen this sooner.
Though I did notice that there are still some aspect ratio problems when using these fixes. The Hyperspeed pack contained item textures with a 1:1 ratio (256x256), which is correct for the textures that display in the merchant's shop window. However, the textures in Leon's regular inventory screen should be slightly wider at 352x256; this corresponds to the original texture ratio on the disc. If these textures are kept 256x256, the game stretches them horizontally.
You can see this clearly in one of the textures that I cleaned up. The bottle on the left is as it was in Hyperspeed's pack, the bottle on the right is the one I corrected:
This is a very easy fix; just changing the horizontal canvas size to 352 pixels is all that is required. The problem is distinguishing between which textures are for the merchant's shop and which are for the inventory screen, which is hard because they are often identical. Something that also compounds this is that some (only a few, actually) of the Hyperspeed textures appear to have been compressed horizontally so that they'll naturally stretch to the correct ratio, anamorphic widescreen style.
Even more confusing is that some of the textures in the original Wii version of the game were stretched horizontally in 16:9 mode, presumably due to a failure on Capcom's part to account for the Wii's widescreen output.
I have many of these textures corrected already if anyone wants them, but it may be better to correct the Fanboy textures that are already here; I erred on the side of keeping as much of the texture intact as possible, so there is some slight noise visible, while Fanboy tended to use a soft eraser to remove the edges and all artifacts.
Either way works. It's a tedious bunch of trouble to correct these, so if no one wants to do it I can upload the fixes I have. I have most of them except for those damned 3 eyed linx statues...
