Is anyone else getting a weird issue with transitions?
Every time you enter a new scene, the final frame is cropped. You can see it here: If you compare the two, you can see how the final frame is cut off. This seems to have nothing to do with the HD texture pack as it happens with it off. Seems to be a build issue, or a Dolphin setting. It happens around 50 percent of the time I enter a new scene. It's sort of trivial, but makes the game uglier. I've seen certain playthroughs and it seems that there's many people who don't encounter this issue. If anyone has any info about this problem, I'd love to hear it, so thanks. 10-13-2019, 09:47 AM
Looks like stuttering, on what kind of drive do you have everything installed ?

An HDD, although I don't think it's normal stuttering as I don't think stuttering would cause the final frame to crop. I'll try tinkering with more settings, although if anyone has any ideas for fixes, I'd love to hear it.

Have you tried on RE2 to see if it does this too ? RE on consoles always had a slight delay between screen transitions but that's because of the console hardware, running the HD pack and the iso from a SSD or USB3 Flash drive might help, though the slight stutter will always be present. I can't really tell the difference in the screens you posted.

The issue isn't with the delay, it's with a crop.
If you open the two photos in separate tabs and flip-flop between them, you'll see it. Anyway, some nice news, I fixed it. The issue seems to be due to the Vulkan backend. I switched to Direct3D11/12 and it fixed it. Thank you again for helping with this project. I'm just curious about something, why does the site say RE1 (stay tuned)? Are you working on something RE1-related? And are there any other projects you're working on? 10-14-2019, 05:57 AM
Ok that's great then
With a bit of luck and talent from a programer, there's a chance we can make something similar for the original 1996 RE1, but that would be on PC only. Maybe Dino Crisis 2 as well. Nothing else in the works for now ! 10-15-2019, 12:06 AM
Cool.
I was just looking at the site again and noticed this: Quote:How to skip the door animations? While this does work, it's a pain to constantly hold tab if you're using a controller. There's a better way. Go to Options > Hotkey Settings. Change Device to your controller, then where it says Disable Emulation Speed Limit, you can change it to a button (I prefer R2, but L2 should also work). This makes it so you just have to hold R2/L2 whenever a loading door appears. The game also looks much better if you go to in-game options, monitor tuning, and boost contrast from 80 to 100. The colors are more vivid. Might be worth updating the site with this info. 10-17-2019, 07:00 PM
I just wanted to say thanks to you Kayael. About a year ago I played through 2 and it was a great experience. Definitely the definitive version of a classic. Getting the itch to do a playthrough of 3 for Halloween and happy to see you're still at it. One question for anyone familiar with the dolphinfxsuite2 shader. I was surprised to find it working with the dx11 backend, however, I have only ever used it for one purpose: scanlines. Unfortunately, even with low internal resolutions and an OpenGL backend I cannot get them working like I used to enjoy with the original dolphinfxsuite. Has anyone had any luck?
