I got an old Dell Dimension 4600 a while ago to mess with some old hardware/games and noticed that it came with a compatible disc drive to dump wii (and GC?) games. Finally got around to testing it, and it seems like it's working:

I got the dump finished, haven't tested it yet as this system has Windows 2000 on it and it doesn't seem like Dolphin (2.0) wants to run on it. Not sure if I'm missing some dependency or if Dolphin never ran on 2000.
Edit: this thread seems to make it sound like it does to some extent https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-do...ndows-2000 01-14-2024, 04:43 AM

So, I did some searching to find out why it wasn't working and found this. Looks like I'll need a wrapper to get it to work

Got Dolphin 4.0.2 running on Windows 2000 (no this isn't supported, I used kernel extensions XD), checked the dump and it boots at least

I was very impressed with the speed. It's a P4 Northwood with HT at 3.0 GHz, 2GB of DDR RAM, and an FX 5200

huh, back in the day with my P4 Northwood i only got like 30ish - 45ish fps (depending on game and when). good times, goooood times :p
