anyone here who is having a citra craze because of the new update?
Windows 10 Home
Intel Core I5 8300H @2.3Ghz up to 4Ghz 12GB DDR4 RAM GTX 1050 4GB 5400 RPM SSHD Dell G7 15 7588
Not really? But perhaps because I tend to regularly update Citra? At least the Canary build. I get so see improvements gradually over time anyway.
But the update is awesome nevertheless. Had some trouble maintaining a solid 60 FPS for Super Mario 3D Land before. Both Dream Team and Paper Jam occasionally had some slowdowns, through Superstar Saga already ran at a solid 60 FPS. At least I can now properly run Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem: Fates. A Link Between Worlds already ran at a solid 60 FPS before the recent hardware renderer updates. Ohh yeah, Mario Kart 7 is solid too! Luigi's Mansion 2 still has some ways to go. Through I have not tested everything in my library yet recently, I get to that eventually. More FPS is always great! Still, it is not available yet for the lastest Citra nightly, just the canary build. Through I suspect the foundation is already solid. The Canary builds never caused that much issues for me, given the fact those are basically beta builds for new features. Anyway I have been busy finishing up Trails of Cold Steel II, and now I am even more hyped for Trails of Cold Steel III. Yeah, the Trails series is the best RPG series ever. Still crossing my fingers for the Crossbell duology to have a western release (especially on PC). Sadly, I have been waiting months for Ys VIII to get released on PC. I fear a Switch version will be released before the PC version at this point. 03-17-2018, 03:27 AM
I'm currently using Ubuntu, but have aspirations of moving to a less "beginner" Linux distro eventually. Unfortunately, that may take a while because so many programs that I need for school are Windows only, so I don't get nearly enough time to play around with Linux. I have a bit of a workaround in that I dual booted my laptop with Ubuntu and Windows 7, but messed with configs until I was able to boot my Ubuntu install as a VM in Windows as well as a normal boot option.

Well yeah, you're emulating a Wii U game on a 3DS emulator, what you do expect? (Just kidding) 03-17-2018, 05:32 AM

Not only should nintendo port Super Mario 3D World, but titles such as The Wind Waker HD, Twilight Princess HD, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Paper Mario: Color Splash, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Yoshi's Woolly World and Super Mario Maker too. Luckely Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Hyrule Warriors and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker are getting a port treatment. I don't know about the new Super Smash Bros. which could be a port or a complete new entry, either way that should satisfy the need for Smash on the Switch. Still need to buy a Switch at some point. Now is not the right time yet for me, but it will eventually... I hope? |
