They're EXTREMELY DURABLE (the strongest and thickest cable you've ever seen, thick pleather pads that won't tear or break and a headband reinforced with thick metal wires), lightweight and comfortable and the sound quality is just exceptional for the low, LOW (cheaper than dirt) price . The headsets are so good that some (brave) people use them in a (professional !) recording studio [for pop music / vocals] (LOL). 05-13-2015, 05:40 PM

It says something like "China's most popular / best selling headphone brand". What's even more funny is those "el-cheapo" headsets can dish out some really deep (audible) bass (5~10 Hz) with a humble 20Hz bottom spec, while pro headphones rarely go below 25 Hz (audible) even though their specs say < 10Hz (LOL). 05-14-2015, 05:54 AM
did you go to school for music technology or did you just find your way into the business? do you work in a studio or freelance?
i'm asking because i need to decide where i'm going to school next asap and i'm thinking about music technology

Audible bass =/= high-quality bass. In most cases headsets with bass response that low have extremely bass-heavy output spectrums. Also, on that second "fact" you're full of shit and you know it. Even if you weren't, we don't have those here. Freelance, portfolio stuff is important. If I worked in a studio I'd just go to wherever the spares are kept and plug a pair in and continue on with work. and I just got into it don't be like me, the only jobs for me are on the internet. go to school and get something stable in audio if you really need to be in audio. Right now I'm seriously considering paid commissions, especially since my animator friend just started doing them and is making tons of money (but she already had a significant reputation before starting to do them)

Don't give up kinkinkijkin. Just keep working on your portfolio, paid commissions, and whatever else you need to make your name.

Yeah, those headsets are really bass-heavy (perfect for bassheads, hip hop and especially electronic genres such as drum'n'bass). But I wasn't joking about the durability part. Pro headphones (Sennheisers, SONY, AudioTechnica, BeyerDynamic, AKG, etc.) are very fragile compared to these dirt-cheap headsets. |
