My dad has fibromyalgia. I don't know how it affects others differently, just what it does to him. Some days are just bad days; he'll be in a lot of pain and unable to go to work. Sometimes it's just okay. It makes him tired a lot quicker, and it's taken a toll on his mobility (he walks with a cane now). Taking long baths helps him deal with it on the weekends. I dunno how it's gonna look like in 10-15 years though; it's not something that gets better. I'll tell you one thing though, it hasn't stopped his passion for cars and photography.

As somebody with Fibromyalgia: It's a bitch. The exact way it effects you depends, really. I have less pain than many people with Fibromyalgia, but I have much more mobility issues. My mother, who also has it, has the opposite. A lot of pain, not too many mobility issues.

That was a great idea

During the progress report, I SO wished I had sonic colors! It was the perfect game for the header but I don't have it. And this is the second time it has happened! >_< Soooo I I dug around online, and I just happened to find it, new, for $6 at Target! At that price, they must be trying to clear out stock.
So I ordered it! At least, I hope so... the stupid site was not cooperating. It said it was in stock, then wasn't, then in again, and when I tried to place my first order (ship to store) it didn't take. Then when I tried to order again the site broke down and I couldn't access it! Mrgrgr! I swear, that is the most work I've ever done to hand someone $6... If it the order doesn't work out, if it wasn't in stock or something, I know that it's at my local Target and I can pick it up in store if I have to. why drive 45 minutes when you can buy it on amazon/ebay for like $10?

She wants it noooww!
So it's 45 minutes both ways or is that the round-trip ETA?
One way. I'm kind of living in the middle of nowhere... Besides, I shipped it. (Laziness > Impatience!) But if the order messes up, I'll have to go to the "local" target.
And I looked at ebay and amazon, and they don't even have it for $6 used! $6 new is awesome~! Intel Xeon w7-3465X OC | Asus Pro WS W790-E Sage SE | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 FE | 8x16GiB G-Skill Zeta R5 DDR5-6000 | Windows 11 22H2 | (details)

As a user of the emulator that has brought hours of fun to myself and my young children, i am saden to hear that one of the developers has passed under tragic circumstances.

IGPU performance is much worse than I expected it would be . Seriously , I can't stand 2x internal resolution forever , it kills my eyes
Sayonara HD8670D , I will grab GTX 750 and games will fly haha . But still , what's the point of building an APU system in the first place ? Laptop: Mini PC :: 05-04-2015, 07:08 PM
I was just minding my own business being a depressed near-insomniac and a friend messages me about how she's having a panic attack about her math class again. I decided to help her personally this time instead of sending her to someone who had actually done math recently, but now I'm just very, very angry with american online schools (since this friend is an american).
So, forenote, she's in grade 8. Anyways, she shows me the assignment she's having issue with, showed me the video for it, making a simplified equation for a rectangle with the dimensions 10x-5, 5x+1, and 3x+2. Should be an easy lesson, right? Just have them call back upon and expand knowledge from binomial lessons. Well, the issue with that is that there was no binomial lessons. Oh, but the professor sure treated it like there were. Also lazed out on all of the work by just showing the starting trinomial and the end result and saying "do foil" then scribbling a bunch on the screen. "foil" was in 4 lessons from now. Furthermore, this class had just learned what "x" was a couple of months ago, but now they were learning things I was learning at the end of grade 9 in my high-level high school math class? So then she got into the actual assignment and you know what they were ACTUALLY doing? Binomials. Given a trinomial lesson for binomials. At this point I'm nearing being done, but she showed me a screenshot of the lesson that had a reminder on it that she wouldn't have known at all (the arrows thing to show how to do the thing to a polynomial), so I spent about 10 minutes walking through the entire question with her, making sure to explain the entire process as I went (and even with my poor communication skills I did better than the damn profesor), and I made sure to show this friend also that calculators are fine (since her teachers so far have only proclaimed any usage of calculators or visual aides to be cheating), and I did get it solved for her but, holy hell. This is someone who had to start going to online school because real school (along with talking to people) was too stressful for her, so they punish her by making the class many times harder and pretty much requiring you to get help from friends anyways. It isn't right at all, goddamnit. Really, this friend is really lucky I'm as good at deciphering textbook nonsense because my teacher was almost as bad as her whole school, because I haven't been in school since mid grade 10 (over a year now). The professor's lesson was indecipherable madness and scribbling, and the given visual guides were abysmal. No wonder this friend has so much trouble with school. Rant over, I guess. I'm going to have to help this friend with math a lot more now though, now that I know how horrible her learning experience from the actual school is. Good thing a friend of mine and I tutored our entire class in grade 9 because we were the only ones who could decipher the textbooks and the teacher used her own personal experiences as a 40-year-old rich white woman that weren't shared by the mostly-impoverished predominantly-black 15-year-olds in the class as a way of "teaching". Okay now I think the ranting is over.
