This blew my mind
Btw , most PS2 games run like a charm on my old laptop (Nvidia GT 540M + 4 years old i5 480M) , the internal resolution I used is 1440x1080 , FXAA , Edge Antialiasing I thought my new laptop could do the same at lower resolution and no AA . However , it's a shame . For PS2 emulation , even the fastest version of Intel HD 4600 is still garbage Guess I have to save up money again to build a gaming tower or buy an i7 gaming laptop Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: 02-06-2015, 01:19 AM
You know, every time I see amazing work like that (on Dolphin, RPCS3, or other emulators) makes me feel like I'm just twiddling my thumbs messing around GBA emulation :p

Well, mGBA and higan are both ahead of me in accuracy, both in terms of emulating the CPU and LCD. I don't think the GBA is lacking in "complete" emulators (no$gba emulates more than anyone, and is probably still the most accurate). GBA documentation is very thorough, and the hardware itself is a lot less mysterious than a pre-bsnes understanding of the SNES (the GBA has no coprocessors for example). Every time I look up some SNESdev stuff, I always thank Nintendo for making the GBA so much less complicated.
Accuracy is more of a continuous goal for me. I'll get there, slowly but without stopping. I guess the larger objective is to add as many enhancements as I can/want to. Custom Tiles and pixel shaders. 02-06-2015, 01:44 PM
And you don't think that's amazing!? Your selling yourself short there friend!

Hopefully back to TF2 by tomorrow. Hope I can still play somewhat decent.
It took months of pestering Verizon Wireless, being vocal and standing my ground. Finally they offered to "fix" their goof and I owe $147 to reactivate service that I plan on paying tomorrow. It sucks this is my only option out here that has low enough latency to play online. I would be with cable, fiber or even dsl in a heartbeat if it was offered to me. Random: I have some nice pictures and even a video showing our wonderful winter weather. We've received over a foot of snow so far, snow banks and drifts are fairly high. We have another storm on the way that could dump a foot or more of snow. This is the most snow here we've had in years, usually pathetic snowfall from storm systems that dump most of the snow elsewhere and lake effect further upstate. I moved a lot of snow yesterday, too much. My OCD makes it worse because it has to be just right so I spend over an hour or the better part of my day shoveling. |
