yet most people confuse trans to be sexual orientation because of that old term hardly anyone actually uses anymore with "sexual" in it that I'm not going to write because I don't like how it rolls off of my tongue.

I will never understand how people have so much trouble differentiating two completely different and unrelated things. 01-19-2015, 04:39 PM

To be honest, before being semi-active on these forums and a few other places I had never heard any sort of discussion on a persons gender, what they identify as, or their sexual orientation.
Although, I live in the south so it's kind of a taboo topic here.

You really shouldn't be able to understand people who are that hopelessly lost or confused. Consider yourself lucky. The only thing close I've seen in my life is where people come with preconceived assumptions on transgendered people (e.g. MTF in their eyes is just a homosexual male "pretending" to be a woman) so they sort of equate the two (transgender -> homosexual), obviously incorrectly and negatively on both counts. garrlker Wrote:To be honest, before being semi-active on these forums and a few other places I had never heard any sort of discussion on a persons gender, what they identify as, or their sexual orientation. Well, to be fair, if you've never come across the discussion before, then you've just never come across the discussion before. But once you do, you should inform yourself, and it sounds like you've done that. |
