US$17.44 for 100.12 Mbps/0.3 Mbps.*
*Megabits, not megabytes. Price calculated considering that in my house we pay RD$750 and that US$1.00 = RD$43.00. Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

25/10 for me, at about $35 per month. (I don't pay for it either, so not sure. XD) Theoretically it's supposed to be I think 35/10, but it rarely rises above 32.

Entirely unrelated to the current point of discussion, but...
As you may or may not know, I recently devised a procedure to connect to Wiimmfi without a NAND dump or Wii. I have already sent the directions to Wiimm and Leseratte, and Wiimm said that it may not be easy to block it. I think releasing the instructions online publicly could result in significant disruption, as ban evasion would be significantly easier. What should I do? Again, admins/mods can contact me via messages. Another reason I'm mentioning this, there is a particular identifier in the NAND that Dolphin always changes to a fixed value when starting some or all Wii games. However, knowledge of which one it is could potentially fuel future cheating efforts. On the other hand, you can already find all of the information I gathered through Wiibrew and Tockdom, a diff between the original NAND dump and one booted in Dolphin, and/or a network dump and a tool to decode it. This value could potentially cause mistaken bans, as relying on it alone would imply that all Dolphin users are identical, then they ban the real console's details because this identifier matches other banned users. A quick and dirty workaround on Windows is to mark the affected file read-only. To be more "on topic", (I know that "on-topicness" in a thread with no fixed topic has been a topic debated with strong feelings in the past, and also whether the random thread has a constantly changing topic or no topic) 4.8 Mbps, 1.28 Mbps Comcast. It's supposed to be faster, but maybe it's not at peak speed right now, there are other things going over the network, and I'm behind a hub and a somewhat outdated WRT54G. Is a WHR-G125 with DD-WRT better? I'm about two levels of sharing away from the source: Taken from a less-developed country. "That's how slow the internet is over here" How do you people like my recent style of bolding the most important information? It's not our responsibility to make sure no one cheats, especially not at the cost of making sure legitimate users can't use it either. It's Wimm's problem, not legitimate users'. Like RachelB said, it's not Dolphin's responsibility to police someone else's stuff like that. We wouldn't have a lot of nice things (not even Dolphin) if we feared the worst people would do when abusing it. So let's not stop having nice things. jimbo1qaz Wrote:How do you people like my recent style of bolding the most important information? Personally, it's annoying. 07-05-2014, 10:16 AM
Honestly, I'd feel more comfortable writing a program that uses the hash of your Windows machine ID and/or IP address for all random numbers, so that people can't create a new NAND after they've banned.
I removed the critical parts of the instructions while I work on a more resistant patcher to reduce the cheating potential. Really, given what's on here already, along with a bit of Wiibrew research, you can get it to work. Hint, cfc is the Wii Message Board global friend code and can be changed via a hex edit. (Technical stuff) POST parameters: gsbrcd: not sure, already changes, possibly identifyable userid: same across wii_ku, wii_lu61_uneek, dolphin. according to tockdom, changes. ingamesn: mii name, unimportant sdkver: nonbannable gamecd: nonbannable makercd: nonbannable unitcd: nonbannable macadr: (dolphin)/Config/Dolphin.ini lang: nonbannable devtime: unimportant csnum: ModMii serial number cfc: (removed) region: nonbannable (End technical stuff) Close Dolphin. Download ModMii from https://web.archive.org/web/201404201607...taller.exe Generate a UNEEK (non-di, but doesn't matter) 4.3 NAND in ModMii. s 2 u d [region] 4.3 n n n n n LU(9 random digits) n n y Wait until it finishes Copy (modmii)/COPY_TO_USB/nands/pl_??/* to (dolphin)/Wii/* Change your Dolphin MAC address. (dolphin)/Config/Dolphin.ini Start Dolphin, close Dolphin. (removed) Start Dolphin. (most likely not needed) { Tools/Load System Menu 513E (last number varies by region) Set up internet. When it asks wireless/wired, say "wired". } Load the game, create a new save file, the like. (Wiimm will not be too happy, especially if someone automates this process and releases an "Automated unban kit guaranteed!!!!111") I am in the middle of writing a NAND generator that can only produce one NAND per machine to make ban evasion more difficult. |
