Sorry, I understood "everyone" instead of "someone"... lol.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

To be fair, it couldn't have been "everyone", because I never actually was pissed about it, I'm just an bitch who likes to act offended ironically to make fun of tumblr somehow even though the joke flies over everyone's heads and isn't even a good one in the first place.

Got my Sabertooth X58 today. Got everything together and frustration lol.
When powering on system or anything triggers a reset/reboot the system power cycles at least twice before posting and booting. Plus can't get into my existing Windows install cause blue screen, what joy. To top it off only 4GB out of my 6GB ddr3 ram is being detected and at 1066 rather than 1600. But once it boots it stays on so I guess it's fine for now, gonna have to figure out if it's the board or something else though. Oh and my power supply wasn't shot. Seems something else shorted out such as a wire so I guess that means I don't have to RMA the psu. 06-28-2014, 06:38 PM
I was using two sticks in another board without an issue. They were all working fine in last X58 I had but now they aren't. The power cycling is something else and happens with either stick and even one stick.

Apparently it's not the ram, the first slot for tri-channel closest to the cpu isn't working. :/
Remove ram out of that slot and the power cycling issue is gone. It's not the cpu as I've tried reseating it although idle temps reported by Realtemp are a bit high at slightly above 50 celsius. Haven't done anything with the cpu and there's no way it could've got damaged. I noticed the copper contacts on the part of the cpu that makes contact with the pins seems a bit faded or discolored but I'm not sure if that would have any impact on stability and operation. kinkinkijkin Wrote:Unless that's not what you're referring to, in which case, I don't even know anymore. I don't see anything else that can be offensive, and derailing this thread more isn't worth it. If you still think I stepped way out of line, take it to random, please. As a matter of fact, i think you've stepped so far over the line, that if i could, i'd ban you for it. If someone else wants to do it for me, that'd be pretty cool. 06-29-2014, 04:45 PM
If you could just explain why it's stepping over the line, I'd be happy, instead of you dancing around it like you think "trap" is a slur for transgender.
