4.4Ghz is already decent and there's literally no reason to go higher, unless I REALLY need that performance. I was just trying out stuff, it crashed after 10 Minutes AIDA64 anyways.

I already have it, it's a nice game. Way too unpopular for how good it is.

Woot! I will be up running with my i7 and a new Sabertooth X58 by next week hopefully. Contacted Asus about the failure, was up front in regards to the physical damage and explained the board failed prior to the physical damage and explained how the physical damage was caused. Got an email a bit ago telling me they found it's covered under warranty despite the physical damage and will be shipping a new Sabertooth X58 out by Wednesday.
Looking forward to testing recent builds of Dolphin and PCsx2 as well as testing performance in PC games with the latest Nvidia driver. I suppose that means they found an actual defect and determined the failure was not caused by the physical damage that occurred? 06-24-2014, 08:07 AM
Core i7 5960X (8 cores + DDR4) will be available on September 14, 2014 . Is there anyone interested in buying this ? I guess not

I wish I could but I can't afford to upgrade yet. I am relieved I don't have to pay out of pocket to replace my Sabertooth X58 and my first gen i7 is sufficient enough for me for right now. This Core2Duo E7500 performs well with recent Dolphin and Pcsx2 builds so I can't wait to get my system up again so I can test performance not only in emulators but with PC games and the latest Nvidia driver. That hopefully means no more fps drops as low as 30fps to 40fps in TF2. With my i7 before fps never went lower than 60fps so it should be even better now. The 2x GTX 460's combined with the i7 were more than enough for nearly everything I threw at it. So there is not much reason at least with my current budget to upgrade just yet. Although I may invest in upgrading to a GTX 780 just because of features my GTX 460 doesn't support and this means I can finally use Steam home streaming without performance issues.
