Been getting into mobile emulation these past few days, got SNES, N64, GBA & PSX all running on my weak techno L3, really surprised Grandia is running at 60fps, will wait another half decade for dolphin.

Might need to put in place a system where a member has to have made at least a certain number of posts to report, if it gets too bad.

Perhaps I haven't been on enough, but I haven't noticed an inordinate amount of reported posts, so it's probably nothing to worry about. Now if the bots could only report themselves...

Is it bad I don't call myself a Brony anymore, yet still watch the show and use pony images as avatars etc.?

I have never called myself a Brony, and I have been using this avatar for years.
Fwiw, still need to watch Season 3 :/ 05-11-2014, 07:15 AM
So I've spent a reasonable part of my evening trying to help a friend of my youngest brother choose parts for the computer he's getting for his 12th birthday. He wants to buy from Maplin, which, while it has it's place, is in no way, shape or form the right place to buy PC parts. I'm trying to convince him he wants to use Scan (currently the best in the UK in terms of pricing and customer service etc). He's reluctant because it's a longer drive, and he likes the idea of buying a bundle of parts which they won't even tell you the manufacturer of half of because he has the assurance they'll work together. It's a little infuriating because no matter how hard I try, I can't even build him a whole system from Maplin that reaches the bear minimum he needs within his (admittedly tiny) budget.

Drag that twelve-year-old's ass to Scan. They can still sell him parts that work with each other as long as you're keeping an eye on it (because you're the wise senpai who's actually done all this PC-building shit before), and if he can't handle long drives he clearly needs to be taken on a road trip across the 48 continental United States.

He clearly needs to be taken on a 6-hour trip in a bus with no rest stops after eating tons of candy and topping it off with an extra large coffee and no sleep. If that doesn't teach the kid to tolerate a long drive, I don't know what will.
