The first couple of Army Men games were actually very well received. After that, however, they were panned for being very repetitive and not introducing many new elements to the story or gameplay.
Needless to say, I really liked Army Men 2 for the GBC. I still play it, and I was pretty stoked to get it working in my own emulator. Although, 3DO used a lot of HDMAs in that game without proper regard for VRAM access, shame on them! 05-08-2014, 12:04 PM
Hello guys, is anyone familiar with Wine in Linux? Currently im trying to get Age of Empires II (with forgotten empires) working properly, and I have seen other tests showing it works quite well for others. The problem is that the game just wont go into fullscreen mode, so I can't really scroll properly ingame in windowed mode lol.
Shonumi, I know your familiar with Linux, you got any ideas? I can't seem to find any solutions currently. 05-08-2014, 12:49 PM
I have messed around with Wine, but mostly just to run PJ64, Desmume X432R, BGB, and VBAM (PJ64 just for testing, Desmume for fun, and BGB+VBAM for their debuggers on the Windows versions). I have absolutely no experience with games, however (I own like a total of two PC games, Test Drive 5 and The Curse of Monkey Island... :/ ). So, yes, lol, I'm quite useless in helping you :p

Either way, you want Wine to create a virtual desktop for the stuff, I think that might work. (It's in Wine settings). 05-09-2014, 09:22 AM

Ill check if I can edit AoE II's settings without running it. Unfortunately, there isnt a "fullscreen" option in AoE II. Just checked AoE II's registry, there isn't any fullscreen options lol... Great... :/ 05-09-2014, 10:31 AM

What's up with newbies using the report button to reply to someone and/or ask them a question? They seriously can't read, the person is not going to see their question and only staff will see it then mark it as read..
Edit: Might be a bot so that may explain why.. Bot using the report function to ask a member in an ancient topic to "add it" lol. |
