Hey, I'm in New Zealand and I still use US Netflix!
It's not hard.

s/Europe/Germany, I heard they use wire transfers extensively instead of credit cards and that the rest of Europe tends to use credit cards. [citation needed]

We have Netflix here in the Netherlands with multiple payment options. Kind of curious what's being offered, but I'll save my free month for the summer.

Anyone know of any fast and free secure https proxies in the USA, preferably on the East Coast i.e. New York? Hidemyass free proxies suck, are slow and constantly time out so if anyone knows anything better for free please share.

Netflix in Canada is horribly crippled. We get an extremely reduced number of stuff on our Netflix. Not to mention that, for some reason, it's also against the law to mask yourself with a proxy that points to another country here. Really, all we have are theaters and DVDs/Blu-Ray discs. Unless you go to your local internet corsair's port.
in a perfect world we would all be piles of sand with no ability to form coherent bodies of body

Well I'm in the USA but used a vpn to access some stuff. Such as music videos on the official Queen Youtube channel which they suddenly restricted to the UK as one example. My vpn subscription ran out and need to use something else temporarily until I get some money to renew my vpn. As I said Hidemyass free proxies suck, are slow and constantly time out so if there is a better https or socks proxy that is free and fast I can use temporarily that would be awesome.

Xtreme2damax, if you're looking for something to bypass YouTube, Netflix, and similar restrictions, try out Hola Unblocker. It's free and super easy to use. Just be sure to disable it when you're not actively utilising it so that you don't become a peer yourself.
You can check out Media Hint too, but I'm not going to bother linking to them. Media Hint was free up until a month or so ago and was an awesome Firefox/Chrome extension. They want to charge monthly/yearly for the service now, though (can't really fault someone for wanting to make money, I guess). There are easy ways to get around the paywall, so feel free to research it further if you're keen. |
