Just to note, I'm not claiming latency doesn't exist, I'm claiming it's never been a noticeable issue. If PA really is that good, I'd like to hear the difference before I spend a weekend trying to get that audio server working with my desktop. If it doesn't sound greatly different, I'm going to pass and wait for degasus to finish the rest of his work.

Okay, maybe not a new console but Iwata continuously talks about a new platform in the works that is aimed at improving people's Quality of life through health and fitness, he does make hints that some sort of hardware will be involved. He made a lot of announcements, the best probably being how we'll have account linkages across platforms rather than device based in future, but this whole fitness thing makes no sense to me, but from the sound of things Nintendo are going to change their whole approach, how they'll do that still remains to be seen but the news here is indeed promising. Also no porting old Nintendo games to mobile and no interest increasing 3rd party support for Wii U XD

And no, OpenAL does not have 300-1000ms of audio latency. Do you really think people would use an audio API that lags by 1s behind video? ...Do people use openal? I never could, because of the latency. 02-08-2014, 08:01 AM
Installed my new GTX 770 today.

Most likely a MSI one, if he really got a 4GB version as he claimed. I'll have you know that Kepler chips can't process 4GB anyways, so you just wasted money.

This flappy bird fad has caused me to lose faith in humanity. I'll be hiding in the basement until some of it is restored.

Bought a Viewsonic PJD7820HD projector for my living room. Can't wait to receive it
Pretty cool projector: decent price range (when you compare it to the price of a TV...), 20ms latency, native 1080p, pretty bright, 3D ready, etc. 02-08-2014, 10:49 PM

It was a Gigabyte one as the reasonably priced MSI one which was barely more than a 2GB one was discontinued, and I couldn't find it anywhere. I almost went for a 2GB one, but my mother was adamant that as it was the main part of my christmas and 18th birthday present that cost wasn't a huge issue. It was still £100 less than a 780, and I didn't think my parents would be willing to spend that much more. I've also not heard about the not processing 4GB thing, and can't find anything about it when I google it. Can you give me a source?

Seems I can't find any. Usually people go bashing against the 4GB version of different boards like tomshardware. Test it yourself, Kepler wasn't made for 4GB, maybe it actually improves performance but I'm not sure.
