GTX 770 is a bit faster than GTX 680 (due to higher clock speed and higher memory bandwidth) and it's much cheaper too (400$ vs 460-570)
TDP is higher though

My reliable supplier has decided to reduce its 680s to make them about the same price.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X RAM: 48GB GPU: Radeon 7800 XT 06-01-2013, 03:46 PM
So Iris Pro Graphics 5200 is only available on i7 4850HQ & i7 4950HQ
I don't have that kind of money... Guess I will stick with a lower end i7 + dedicated GPU Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) ::
For all the "Tales of" fans: Tales of Symphonia Unisonant Pack (Tales of Symphonia and Dawn of the World) was announced for the PS3.
There's also an unreleased title "Tales of Symphonia Chronicles" (working title) announced for early 2014 in Europe, America, etc. 06-02-2013, 01:46 AM
Another Haswell benchmark was done by Elric - techoftomorow (motherboard.org - old channel) . This benchmark results are the same as the results which Tom's hardware posted 2 months ago
It seems like Intel doesn't care about performance anymore . So sad ! Better battery life is really nice for laptop users though Laptop: Youtube Channel (Vintage Tech/Watches) :: 06-02-2013, 04:44 AM
I doubt that there is much more they can do to improve singlethreaded performance at this point whether they care about it or not. Power consumption and leakage limit clock rate scaling and there is only so much you can do to optimize the microarchitecture to produce better IPC. We may have finally hit the end of significant singlethreaded performance increases.

It's been out in Japan long enough for them to work on a sequel, so it has been a while coming. It's basically the only reason I have a PS3 (asked for one Xmas 2010, in anticipation of either playing it domestic or imported). @Garteal - Not a big fan of Tales of Fans or whatever, since they don't come out over here (and my kanji recognition still isn't up to par). I do what the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Additionally, a patch for Tales of the Tempest was completed about two months ago. Now I can replay it knowing what they say Shonumi Wrote:@Garteal - Not a big fan of Tales of Fans or whatever, since they don't come out over here (and my kanji recognition still isn't up to par).Lol, what are you talking about. I meant that the announcement was meant for all the "Tales of" series fans. Tales of Fans or whatever doesn't exist. And it's confirmed to come to the west. Naturally. Tales of Symphonia was a huge success in the west. Shonumi Wrote:I do what want the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. What's up with the typos and general miscomprehension today Shonumi? I had not heard of Tales of the Tempest until now. Interesting. How are these handheld "Tales of" games compared to the bigger platforms? Ninja edit: Speaking of PS3s, I recently beat Dragon's Dogma on it and I must say that it was an amazing experience. Worthy of being called my favorite title on the PS3 (until it hopefully comes to the PC). If you like RPGs you shouldn't miss this. |
