Okay, there is apparently one person currently in the world that might lose some sleep over this. Anyway, if you didn't catch my meaning: As you know, work being done on the Gekko project at the moment is little to nothing. If you were to take your time and find out the cause of this issue when you're good and ready, I'm sure it wouldn't be a huge problem for anyone if they had to wait.

I'm not really worried about it, and yeah I caught your meaning :p Most people still don't know there is another GC emu in (at least semi-active) development, and until Gekko's good enough to play games, things like this can slide for a while.

noah Wrote:I saw a YouTube video that claimed it showed how to "fix" Windows 8. So I watched it and it said to get Start8. So I set it up and had a start button, and lost access to the Start Screen. About an hour after I set it up, I deleted it. I just missed the functionality of the metro Start Screen. I recommend everyone who is using an older version of Windows upgrades to 8, even on non-touchscreen devices. It's the same and better, and once you get used to it (only took me 10 minutes Big Grin) you will forget you ever had a start button. Bravo to Microsoft for creating the best Windows yet As someone who has used win 8 since beta on his main pc I can say this is bollocks. And start8 does not magically remove the metro screen functionality. It does allow you to boot straight to desktop but you can still access it. And the option to boot straight to desktop can be disabled in the settings very easily (making the OS boot to metro instead). I use the start button all the time, it's one of the most useful features of modern windows OS. You can get used to not having it but if you know how to use it then your productivity is going to take a big hit by not having it available. It's like tabs in a web browser. Do you need it? No. It is an extremely useful feature that you would have to be batshit retarded to remove? Yes. Win 8 is a perfect sidegrade to win 7 if you install start8. Otherwise it's a downgrade on anything except a touchscreen device.

I had a laptop for a short while that had Windows 8 on it. I really didn't care for Windows 8 and found the metro style to be a nuisance. Something random and maybe not so good is when I went to play a game yesterday I had red lines going horizontally from the right side of my monitor's screen. However after turning the monitor off and back on the lines are gone so I am not sure what was going on.

No, that trouble was in the last ~12 hours. I think I've figured it out now, close to stuff being resolved now... it's a mess anyway :/
