Happy birthday Jhonn :>
on an unrelated note: Took me almost 3 hours to get here... generating the actual thing was only half an hour, most work went into getting the ****** visualization software running. I could've used either mayavi or this one (VisIt). Mayavi wasn't an option because when I tried compiling from source it drew exactly one frame of my data and then crashed. The prebuild binaries wouldn't work (requires python 2.6, I'm using 2.7). I even tried running the windows binaries in Wine, but that's a terrible mess due to python. VisIt wasn't really better, it has an incredibly complex bulid process (I tried it actually, but it failed and I couldn't be bothered spending an hour fixing their build system issues). Prebuilt packages didn't work either because.. I don't even know why anymore. Compiled against old libraries too, I think. It did actually work in Wine after all though. The data is rendered at less than 1 FPS, but at least it's showing up at all |
