Mario Party 2: The Screen Doesnt flicker at all during gameplay. (does on project 64). and it sadly looks better on dolphin too. 3x IR , 4x SSAA works wonders on the polygons of the characters .

Oh come on NV, i'm disappointed in hearing that from you of all people, i know the main storyline in Zelda is 'save the princess/kingdom', but the fashion in which it's achieved has always been my biggest fascination about the games.
If that's not good storytelling, i don't know what is.

Speaking of Majora's Mask - most of you have probably heard about it, but I post it here for those who doesn't - a 3DS remake is hinted (again!) at a Spanish retailer. I hope the rumor is true this time, 'cause it's my favorite game in the series. 04-22-2013, 12:47 AM

Geeze, it's my day off man :p
When analyzing a creative work, the raw series of events is the plot or story. Most of the time, you can boil this down without ever mentioning when or where said events take place. The quality of the story depends on whether the audience finds the sequence of events interesting and worthwhile, especially if they explore complex themes, new ideas, or just the audience's general preferences. The setting is a separate category used when analyzing a creative work. It tells you the where and when, and it helps provide a frame a reference for the audience. The setting is used to enhance the story, to draw the audience into the world of the creative work. It's an element of presentation, however, it should not be confused with the raw content of the story itself. An attractive setting does not necessarily dictate a good story, although it can make up for a lacking story for some people. The story itself can be mundane or pedestrian despite the impressive world provided by the setting. Having played several sub-par RPGs in my time (*cough*Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean 4*cough*) I have encountered some truly beautiful, well crafted worlds. However, that didn't mean the story was particularly intriguing. Likewise, an ordinary, everyday setting doesn't make for a bad story (TWEWY). Essentially, be mindful to account for the story (content) and the setting (element of presentation) as two different things. They're linked together as part of the whole package for a creative work, naturally, however, they're not one in the same. 04-22-2013, 07:18 AM
