For the record my family on my father's side is almost entirely British (as in both parents are British and in most cases living in England). My family on my mother's side is almost entirely Italian, not that this matters for this particular discussion. The British side of my family overwhelmingly hate Thatcher. Which makes sense given:
1. They are mostly liberal
2. A lot of them worked in the public sector at some point
3. They live in urban areas for the most part
4. None of them are "rich"
And so on....

Has the conservative party over there glorified Margaret Thatcher into a demigod the way the republicans did with Ronald Reagan in America? I would actually be pretty surprised if they didn't.
