Huh, I had always figured you taught yourself how to code since you were an English major.

Self-taught myself BlitzBasic, then went on to C++, JavaScript, etc. By the time I actually took programming classes in my senior year of High School, I already had a solid grasp of how to code. The two college classes were essentially remedial for my level, but the C++ class was good practice, as were the tests. Really, the only things I learned were Java and ActionScript in High School, neither of which I use today Everything else I just picked up with online tutorials, forums advice, and lots of practical work. 03-24-2013, 08:37 PM

In a year when I'm in those classes expect a few questions on the forums.Lol, should've been my name there. (Although I'm sure most of us have learned how to program on their own). I do get programming courses here on school, but they're really basic... Feel free to ask your questions in the Programming Thread.

Obviously it won't be that easy. You can learn a lot in 6 days, basic conversation stuffs, but gaining proficiency takes quite a bit of immersion :p Which reminds me, I should start studying Japanese again if I ever want to play imported RPGs...
Anyway ED2, way back in High School, before I actually bought a grammar book for Japanese, I learned a lot from this website, specifically the grammar lessons section will teach you the structure of sentences, etc. I advise you learn to familiarize yourself with hiragana and katakana if you're serious/want to read basic Japanese text. 03-25-2013, 04:28 AM
A friend of mine gave me a set of e-books called "Japanese is Possible", i never finished it but it was quite easy to get the basics, i even started writing the letter 'A', well that was a while back and all that info has been deleted from memory
After slaving since morning, i have finally set up my first media server using 'PlayStation media server' as a client, i can finally play my HD mkv files on my ps3, never again will i go back to SD again, it's HD from now on Baby!

I've been trying to improve my japanese for... X years . And playing a RPG is still a tortuous adventure. But there are so many great games that I wouldn't have been able to discover otherwise...
