dead pixels sucks
I had a monitor last year that gained an entire column of dead pixels exactly 15 days after warranty expired (I usually not that paranoid, but cmon it does seem like a time bomb). I never bought Samsumg monitors again, now I usually go for AOC

My family had a monitor which got hot pixel after one day of use. Normally one hot pixel is not enough for the company to replace the monitor, but my dad tried phoning dell anyway. Over the next week he spent over 30 hours on the phone experiencing repeated
Indian guy: Hello, this is Dell customer support, how can I help you? Dad: I was just transferred here after explaining to your colleague that I have a monitor with a hot pixel. Indian guy: OK, I'll take some of your details, and then transfer you to our returns and replacements office. Dad: *Gives details* Indian guy: Transferring your call now... Indian woman: Hello, this is Dell customer support, how can I help you? Eventually, he was transferred to the correct office, they finally shipped him the new monitor, after he convinced them he had a hot pixel. They then said that for the old monitor, he had two options: either send it to Dell for disposal, or dispose of it himself. We kept the old one, and the new one stayed in a box for two years, until eventually we found another PC in need of a 1080p monitor. tl,dr Paid for one monitor, after 30 hours of phone-calls got two.
