Doesn't mean it's going to happen or happen anytime soon. There have been sssooo many companies that have said this exact same thing in the past and then never made a game for linux. This source is just trying to get peoples hopes up for page hits. What the devs are saying here is "it would be cool if we could do this" not "we're going to do this". I doubt this would ever happen and doubt even more that it would be even remotely successful if it did happen. Especially considering origin doesn't even have a linux version! And all future EA titles will run through origin, they have made that perfectly clear. EA also has some of the most locked down products on the planet which pretty much goes directly against what most of the linux hipster crowd will buy. If they successfully implement a linux version of origin and get linux users to use it then they will have a distribution service with no games. Since unlike valve EA has historically never (or almost never) produced any linux versions of its games. Origin survives because of its 1st party titles since unlike steam it doesn't have strong 3rd party support. And it's unlikely that they could go back and port all those old games because unlike valve EA doesn't keep the dev teams around as support staff many years after the games release. They're not big on long term support for their games. Steam on linux on the other hand has a fairly strong library thanks to lots of 3rd party support from indie devs and 1st party games from valve, neither of which EA has. It just wouldn't make any sense for EA to sink god only knows how much money into a project like this that is practically guaranteed to fail. Then again they did pressure bioware into making SWTOR, something that any person with a brain at the time knew was going to be a disaster of titanic proportions.

GOP... Do you feel like a hero yet? No? You've accomplished nothing. Congratulations. Okay, done with the political Spec Ops: The Line BS. 10-17-2013, 01:13 PM

So I am getting Earthlink DSL; at least they claim it's available where I now live. Ordered the equipment online and am hoping they don't suddenly say at the last minute that they don't serve my area. Only other options are satellite with 1374 ms ping, dial up and possibly Verizon home fusion which I can't get atm due to owing Verizon a bill. Hoping that I can get this DSL hooked up and latency is decent enough in my area that I can play TF2. Then again I also have to replace my Sabertooth X58 motherboard that just went bad for a second time before I can play anything. Right now I am using an old mobo that is a pos because my system keeps rebooting or shutting off with it.

For what price? It sure looks like an interesting device. Is Docomo a good brand compared to the (big) usuals?
