Hello, first of all, very much thanks to all the brilliant people making dolphin a reality.
Now that that's said, I have a frustrating problem with dolphin, or maybe it's my computer. I've run dolphin on windows x86, x64, and windows 7 x64 and the same thing occurs. in windows xp x64 and windows 7 the games will run very well, but then all of a sudden the emulator will slow to about 50% speed for a minute or two, I can actually pause the emulator and wait it out and have the performance go back to 100% just from waiting a couple of minutes. Needless to say this is less that ideal in the middle of some 4 player split-screen action. Has anyone else had this problem?
I think I've tried every different configuration option in dolphin with no change in this situation.
Interestingly, messing with various northbridge settings in the bios seemed to have affected the frequency of the problem, for example, I'd get through 2-3 rounds of fighting in Naruto 3 before a slowdown, then after the changes in the bios it would occur early in the first round.
I run an AMD quad core 2.6 GHz with 4GB of ram and an ATI HD 4600 video card that barely breaks a sweat while dolphin is running.
Thanks for the help / responses
