Why didn't you return it yourself? Most of my family knows very little about technology and I would never ask them to help with something like that for fear of something like this happening.

It's fine now anyways. The replacement card is pretty much the opposite of the shit i got before.
If i wanted the GTX770, that would've taken like 2-3 weeks to deliver, and i didn't want to miss the tf2 halloween event. That aside, this card shows completely different artifacts when overclocking, how come? Previously, Heaven would show green stuff all over the screen, now it shows texture errors when OCing too much. This card even has a lower ASIC (65.4) and still overclocks like a beast. It appears ASUS messed up after all with their NEW Matrix cards. 11-02-2013, 12:07 AM

Whichever one is the most faulty will usually give out first when OCing. Clearly this is in a different part of the chip now. Every chip is different.

Nintendo just doesn't "get" the internet I see. Well, when I start working on my future pipe-dream 3DS emulator, getting SwapNote functionality back up is going to be a top priority. Take that Nintendo. 11-04-2013, 11:50 AM
AAAH!!
Really short: I deleted a Gmail account and can't recover it. Longer: In 2009, I registered a Youtube account under the name of "jimbo1qaz", before the move to Google accounts. I was trying to recover the account, so I decided to delete my email under "jimbo1qaz@gmail.com" to see if it would help, with the intention of reregistering, since it was only a forwarding email. Then after I deleted, I realized that I still couldn't recover the Youtube account. So I decided to reregister, but I couldn't. So I tried to log in, and it said the password was incorrect. Then when I tried to recover, it asks for my registration month and last day of access. No matter what I do, I can't get in. Eventually, I get locked out of the recovery system. As it turns out, when I try to do a recovery attempt over Tor, I can now do recovery on my main IP again. So I'll keep trying to recover. <end original message> Note: Go to http://productforums.google.com/forum/?h...6e2KAD7bu8 for more information, and to (hopefully) bug Google into solving it. 11-13-2013, 03:43 PM

What the fuck is the point of living?
Seriously, we work until we die, and that's if we don't become homeless along the way. I hate college, I hate who I am as a person, I hate basically everything I once enjoyed, and I hate the fact that I'm unwilling to change that. I also love some of the horrible thoughts that go through my head and just how fucking stupid everyone around me is at times, even though I do much more stupid things. Not to mention fucking morons trying to stop scientific progress even though I'm far too fucking ignorant to understand any of it, I mean, Graphene is supposed to be a wonder, BUT WHY!?!? werewolfyman Wrote:What the fuck is the point of living? From the perspective of a science hobbyist: You are currently communicating information to other brains by organizing your thoughts into visual patterns (words), which are then broken down into simpler visual patterns (symbols/characters). Complex visual patterns (words) are then being translated into thoughts by a 3 pound fully organic processor larger than a baseball by volume and a pillow case by surface area with around 100 trillion interconnects between 10 billion switches. These switches are each a system of god only knows how many complex chemical reactions working in perfect balance/harmony with each other to achieve something that sustains itself while repairing and rearranging those connections as necessary based electrical stimulation produced by ionic chemical reactions. I'm going to stop now before I go too much in depth and never stop writing. You see how god damn amazing this is? Let's take another example. These symbols are being displayed on each end by a machine that uses electron flow to reorganize the shape of microscopic liquid crystals in order to change the polarity of light produced by electroluminescence (a process that would take an hour to explain here) so as to effect the intensity of the light after it passes through a polarity filter. These "cells" are organized into triads of red green and blue light which are used to control the perceived color by your visual cortex of a small area of your screen which we call a pixel. A processor calculates a series of numbers to represent of the frequency of light each pixel should be producing and controls a series of electrical signals needed to produce the correct combination of red, green, and blue light needed to make that color. These pixels are being arranged by your own brain (in a way) to form the specific combination of visual symbols that you need to convey information. The universe is full of amazing shit like this. It's everywhere. And at every level. We're blessed with the ability to comprehend some of it. That is an amazing gift. And since we are a part of the universe we are literally a way for the universe to realize its own existence. Life to me is a journey where we get to explore this fascinating place. We get to share ideas with other people along the way too. werewolfyman Wrote:I hate college, I hate who I am as a person, I hate basically everything I once enjoyed, and I hate the fact that I'm unwilling to change that. That's just the depression talking. Eat healthy, exercise, and find someone to talk to. That will help. werewolfyman Wrote:I mean, Graphene is supposed to be a wonder, BUT WHY!?!? Faster electron transport and higher thermal tolerance. Who wouldn't want that in a transistor? The only thing stopping them from taking off is they're extremely difficult to make with current technology.

Enjoy being better than me in every way. Also, IDGAF about anything, including how brains work. |
