Hi,
This is my first post here so i apologise if ive missed something obvious.
I am using Dolphin 2.0 and ive noticed an odd bug, every single Gamecube game i own can have individual Projection Hacks enabled via the Right-Click > Properties option under Game Specific Settings.
However i have noticed that when i do the same with any WII game it does not actually store the projection hack variable in the config file for that game. So it never actually applies it.
Secondly, when i use DirectX instead of OpenGL is there a way to cycle through the projection hacks? Under OpenGL i can enable then ingame on the fly and view the realmtime difference, in DirectX i have to close & restart the game, meaning i am not sure if it looks better or worse.
This brings me to point 3, how can i use projection hacks under directx for wii games since the config file will not save it and there is no option for the hack in DX options.
Saying that, does directx even use the hacks? I really dont know.
Lastly, i love the wiimote emulator plugin to use my mouse as the pointer, buttons as A & B and custom keybindings for the other functions. However i am a little unsure of the IR Pointer section on the first page. I understand this is used to tie your cursor & the WII cursor together.
What ive noticed though is that i never seem to get a smooth range, for example it will be perfectly aligned in the centre, but as i move to the edge horizintally the ingame cursor seems to gradually go faster than my cursor, meaning by the time im at the edge of the screen in the wii im only 2/3 of the way across the screen with my mouse. It makes aiming at the edges of the screen very hard.
Am i doing something wrong? What exactly is the relationship between Top&Left and Width&Height?
The Aspect Ratio box below these sliders is greyed out and always set to 4:3, i have a 16:10 widescreen monitor, could this be explaining it? If so how do i change these options? Does the video resolution i use effect the remote emulation?
I also have questions about what resolution i should be using when in fullscreen mode, should i just use my max resolution (1440x900) or should i use native resolution?
Final Question, i have a USB Fake Ps2 pad i like to use for my gamecube games, however i cannot seem to figure out how to bind the wiimote cursor targeting to my analog sticks - is this possible?
Ok sorry about the multitude of questions, i hope u will forgive my newbieness
