It took a while, but here it is, the next major update for the Patcher64+ Tool: v16.0.0. And it's also the first release of 2022. Hurray. Check it out below:
https://github.com/Admentus64/Patcher64P...ag/v16.0.0 Ok, so what's new? Well... A lot. First of all, a ton of new models for both OoT and MM. Yes, you heard that, Majora's Mask as well. The second new big thing are the Interface Modes (Beginner, Lite and Advanced). On a fresh setup you get a popup window asking for you default mode. Beginner Mode cuts down most options to make it easier to start. Lite Mode offers only compatible changes. And Advanced Mode has everything included as it always was. Next is the additional of several options for OoT and MM. It makes patching both games are little bit more complete yet again. Some options have been moved around due to this. There's also new preview images for equipment and the HUD. As always thanks to @GhostlyDark for staying so dedicated for so long, especially with the models. Redux patches for the NES and SNES Zeldas have been updated, as well a brand new GBC mode for Link's Awakening which has Redux as well. Outstanding work @ShadowOne333. Banjo-Kazooie got also included with several ROM hacks. And a few other ROM hacks such as Masked Quest got updated. Perhaps this update offers nothing in the sense of a truly revolutionary feature, but nevertheless it's still one of the biggest updates thanks to the sheer amount of changes. Stay safe in 2022, and do some OoT and MM. Okay? On to the next update again! 01-24-2022, 10:42 AM
I've tried patching both MM and OoT N64 roms with this. The first time I used it, it worked perfectly. Now, even after several fresh downloads of the program, it throws errors in the logs, freezes, and no longer displays anything in the preview windows. It also now says "not responding" for about 10 full minutes before finishing.
Post a new issue on the tracker on GitHub.

Before it was several folders into my documents folder. I thought/think it could be a permissions thing, but my documents folder has full permissions for everything listed in the security tab (Authenticated Users, SYSTEM, Administrators, and Users), but maybe those groups don't cover the patcher program? Plus I ran the program as administrator and that didn't fix it. Or maybe just the long address made it not work? It's just weird because it worked fine the first time, but not any other time. Many of the errors in the log are related to not finding files. It looked for files in the "Extracted" folder in the game specific folder, but there is no "Extracted" folder when I ran the patcher from my documents folder, but there is when I run it from the root of the drive. It's like it had a problem creating the files it needed to run. When I run it from the root, it freezes for only a second or two while patching, no errors are given, and the image previews show up correctly.

https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-cu...#pid415781 Maybe this was your issue? It's generally best to not run it from user protected folder. If your issue was fixed, then there's no need to report an issue anymore on GitHub. 01-30-2022, 03:24 AM
You missed us? The next big major version for Patcher64+ Tool is here: v17.0.0: https://github.com/Admentus64/Patcher64P...ag/v17.0.0
The two biggest features are the Ura Quest dungeons ported from the Zelda Expansion Disk patch (they are just harder versions of Master Quest, before they got nerfed in the final version) and Music Track Sequence customization. Yup, you heard that right. Go nuts, and replace any music from either OoT or MM with one of the several hundred replacements we included. Credits to: Apasher, BluWiikoon, DKDavid, Fish-waffle64, FQef94, Joshua8600, Kirox, Liamnajor, LuigiXHero, MrMario7788, SlyryD, SonicRPika, The Sound Defense, Volcove, Zeldaboy14, Zeraphyr, DaruniasJoy Asra, Darkychao, Isghj, Kolipoki, Nika, Rokon, Senate, sillyhorseradish, SlickYoshi & Yaruzu for their custom music sequences. Some new game modes were added as well with a few options (60 FPS, WS, etc) for Mario Kart 64, Bomberman Hero, Paper Mario, Super Smash Bros., Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie and Diddy Kong Racing. Also added a new ROM hack for SM64. Both OoT and MM got a few new models, so thanks to Ikey Ilex, JanexLane & Skilar. The patching process also got overhauled. Downgrading is now done automatically. Handling ROMCs for the Wii VC is now done automatically. JSON specifications got updated. Several bug fixes, especially for Free Mode. Some optimizations and other essentials for a more robust patching process. Patches are now also split to their respective revisions. And to conclude this, both OoT and MM received a slew of new additional options. Stuff like more icon and HUD changes, several map fixes by Chez Cousteau (Pizza Steve), new scripts, English corrections and updated fan-translations. Some stuff got cut from the Redux patch, but don't worry since it's now optional to select. And I dunno what else. Go check it out yourself instead . Onwards to v18.0.0 again. Maybe that rumored text editor will happen? Dunno... 02-05-2022, 07:04 AM

Oh boy, you're most favorite forum user is back - me.
But don't fret as this is actually going to be relevant to something near and dear to your heart - OoT Redux and MM Redux. Basically a family friend of mine recently get an Everdrive and wants to use the Zelda Redux patches, but I noticed that there's another set of patches by the users Aroenai and Ozidual on the everdrive forums that includes various QoL improvements that do not seem to be included in at least the RHDN listings for OoT Redux and MM Redux despite Aroenai and Ozidual's patches being older: The two improvements that really stick out to me that are missing from RHDN's listings are using the Expansion Pak to improve performance as well as the Stone of Agony being able to detect all hidden chests. However, the aforementioned RHDN entries themselves I think are actually outdated nowadays considering your v16.0.0 update mentions updated models for MM which is not mentioned in the RHDN listing for MM Redux, yet one would expect to be included if the listing were up-to-date considering that the RHDN listing for OoT Redux does indeed include updated models. So yeah, I don't suppose Aroenai and Ozidual's stuff got rolled into Patcher64+ and/or newer versions of Redux at some point?

Both are already part of Redux. The expansion pak won't improve performance though. It does allow for new options though. Stuff like extending draw distance will be easier and so on. I guess that's performance boosting? Aroenai's and Ozidual's patches target the GC ROMs. We target the Rev0 ROM instead. As far as I am aware, pretty much everything got ported (read: recreated) over to the patcher, except for dynamic Ocarina of Time icons when transformed. Don't look at the RHDN pages for OoT Redux and MM Redux, those are a bit outdated by now. The patcher contains customized versions of Redux for OoT and MM. I have nothing to do with maintaining the RHDN pages. The Patcher64+ Tool is a separate project, though I am in contact with the aforementioned OoT Redux and MM Redux. 02-09-2022, 11:49 AM

Quick sanity check - does this not work with the Linux version of PowerShell? Or am I just a derp and am "doing it wrong"?
For reference, I installed the snap on Linux Mint 20.3: https://snapcraft.io/powershell ...but when I try to run it via a simple: Code: powershell "Patcher64+ Tool.ps1" ran from the terminal in the folder where the .ps1 file is located, PowerShell throws up errors referencing DLL files and stuff which obviously wouldn't be available on Linux... I also humored myself and tried running the EXE through WINE 7.1-staging but that didn't go anywhere.
