The current textures we had for Lord Crump's controller sprite didn't fit well with the game's aesthetic, so I remade them. Both sprites are 640x640.
Also I'm back apparently.

Noticed a few inconsistencies with the controller textures I uploaded earlier, so I added an update. Mainly just fixed the outline color for the controller.
Here ya go. 07-05-2017, 12:36 PM
I've been getting odd screen transitions when using the newest version of the texture pack. An example of this problem can be seen in this video by someone else which demonstrates the same issue: https://youtu.be/Z7l-kFKKIb4 (around 6:20).
It seems the textures take time to load, but the screen loads before the textures have, resulting in a strange looking image. Is this avoidable or is this issue just part of using the texture pack? Any help is appreciated. Thank you! 07-05-2017, 01:15 PM

Has this issue cropped up in the threads before? Just curious because I found a video example very easily but haven't seen it discussed anywhere. 07-05-2017, 04:47 PM
Yes it has in this thread a few times, but it's really long now so it would take some effort to find more info on it beyond the first post stating not to use dual core or to use sync GPU.
A while back I originally tried to "fix" some textures in this pack causing the flicker. This was before realizing that I was being dumb and dual core was the problem. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-pa...#pid354958 This guy had the same issue you did here. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-pa...#pid412049 Here degasus explains why it happens. https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-pa...#pid359117 And there's a few more cases that end with "use dual core or sync gpu".
Fun Fact: I used to have a huge bold piece of text in the OP that said something like "Disable Dual-Core to fix flickering issues".
I moved it to the FAQ because it was taking up too much space and people still asked. 07-19-2017, 12:50 AM

To be fair, there can be flickering issues in this game despite disabling dual-core :p (07-19-2017, 12:58 AM)jvook Wrote: To be fair, there can be flickering issues in this game despite disabling dual-core :p That's an issue, but it's not the kind of flickering issue that they were talking about. (And it isn't present in any stable release or the most recent development releases, so chances are low that anyone today is going to run into it.) |
