Apparently this texture wasn't in the pack. Extremely quick to make. Just removed the eyebrows.

This should be the last update. I won't make anyone re-dump their disc again after this I swear, but this one more time will be worth it. I took on the task of organizing all textures even further. The 1263 folders are now reorganized into 290 folders. This requires and is now the behavior of the "CreateDirectories" option.
a - Party members b - Environments, UI, similar stuff to those two c - All NPCs and enemies d - Random textures used in-game, less important. Some may not be used. Some I'm uncertain of. i - Text phrases that were conveniently set up so they were easy to sort. "i_misc" contains additional text. z - Mostly useless. Some may be actually used (?), some are duplicates, some were used by developers for tests. I didn't feel like updating the batch script so I removed it. To mimic this behavior is possible, but the full process would probably take hours to finish so it isn't worth it to me or anyone for that matter. Anyone with windows vista+ can run a powershell script, which probably covers anyone who will ever work on this texture pack. Moving the textures requires another step, so it takes a bit longer to finish than before. Not everything may be in the correct places but it shouldn't be too hard to find anything. All character 'c' folders should be correct. Most of the 'b_env_chapter' folders were guesses based on memory. Overall this should ultimately make it much, much easier to find something to retexture. OCD in full throttle, I think its time for a nap... Awesome, so if the names are the same you could run a duplicate file checker tool against the current texture pack and delete the ones from the disc dump. that would leave you with all the textures that aren't done. i might try this later though i couldn't post it since the dumped files are technically nintendo's
edit: i was able to get all the non hd textures using a program called antitwin, and removing all duplicate files from the dump folder. i saved a list of the non hd textures if anyone needs it https://pastebin.com/KtgxMNtZ 06-05-2017, 07:29 AM
Yo, I had some questions about what settings are best to run this pack in. When loading areas or doing certain things, I get some frame lag aswell as music lag and stuff. I was wondering if there was a way to completely get rid of, and if not, reduce this from happening in my game. I disabled Dual Core like it stated in the FAQ, but instead of the render flickering it just stays black and cuts music and takes a while to load, and I was just wondering the best settings to help against this.

I wanted to reply again because i fixed my problem, and I wanted to help anyone that had problems like I did so that they can play this pack without any problems.
To highly reduce, or completely remove the stuttering with using this pack, enable "Prefetch Custom Textures" which is on the same screen where you enable the custom textures. This will have the initial startup of your game lag, but at some point on the top left your dolphin will say that it has loaded all the textures, and from there on out you should have little to no problems running this pack. I hope I helped someone so that they can use this amazing pack for one of the greatest games of all time
Some new textures. Finishes up Peach, fixes to some of my previous environments, and adds more random environments all over the world (most notably the inside of Madame Flurries house, Fahr Outpost, and Pirate's Grotto). Also a redo for the Mario/Party/Badges/Gear/Journal tags to look more canon.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/vwjn7fw772...2017%29.7z Plus one last update to the texture dumping script. This organizes things a bit better, and I have managed to fix some of the textures coming out as grayscale, but the ones with lost transparency can not be fixed by me. I contacted "Wiimm" and apparently its a bug with SZS tools. Wiimm Wrote:Now I know what you mean. In the future the included tools can be overwritten whenever he releases a fix, and should work with the current iteration of the script. But I doubt by that point anyone will care since most of the bugged textures are already finished and the pack itself is pretty close to being complete. http://www.mediafire.com/file/a4t2tb19ay...Hash_r4.7z Edit: I always manage to make some kind of mistake. I forgot a layer when exporting the "Badges" tag. http://www.mediafire.com/file/cs5c4y3qd6...es-Fix.zip 06-15-2017, 06:03 PM
Hi guys, I post here because I searched on the first pages on this topic and on the internet but I still don't understand how to use these textures with the original game. All I was able to do is to extract files from my dumped ISO with the tool linked in the topic, but I don't know what should I do after that ^^' if anyone could explain the processs to me, I would be very thankful

Read here.
The texture dumping script is for those who wish to edit the game's textures and create new ones, it is not needed to use the custom textures. |
