You should just use the Direct Connect option in the Controllers tab, no need to map the controller

What's the status of the direct connect checkbox?
If it's disabled (greyed out) the adapter is not detected. The adapter won't appear in the controller configuration window you posted a screenshot of. If the direct box is checked, just launch a game and have fun! 10-22-2015, 08:35 AM
To be clear : if "Direct Connect" is checked, your GameCube Controller will work perfectly and natively, as if it's plugged into a real GameCube, no matter what you have in the Configure tab. With Direct Connect, it's already configured, you don't have to configure it.
From France with love.

Yo, I'm on OSX 10.11 and I installed the smash enabler but I couldn't find it in my extensions. It also can't read my adapter and I don't know why. I have the Mayflash adapter BTW. Edit: O nvm I just got it to work xD.

I believe I've tried everything this thread has recommended to get the .kext to work and still, for some reason, Dolphin never shows an option for "Direct Connect" or in anyway recognizes my Nintendo Gamecube adapter. Any help is appreciated. Here is what I have:
13" MBA max specs. updated to 10.10.5 (Yosemite) Nintendo brand adapter Nintendo controller plugged into adapter. Dolphin 4.0 I updated my Mac to 10.10.5 after reading that the .kext won't work unless you're up to date. I've disabled gate keeper using sudo command linked in jackoaian's reply and ran installed the SmashEnabler.kext as instructed. The .kext file does relocate itself into /Libary/Extensions/ folder but when I launch Dolphin no options for "Direct Connect" and it doesn't see the GCC Adapter. I've attempted reinstall of both Dolphin and .kext after purging all related plists, cache, application support files and deleted SmashEnabler.kext from /Libary/Extensions/ folder. No dice. Order in which I installed: 1. Disabled gatekeeper. Reboot. 2. Verified SmashEnabler.kext was in my downloads folder 3. Executed sudo commands for .kext installation. Reboot. 4. Launch Dolphin, be disappoint . I am stumped. |
