Hi, first time poster here. Me and my friend play Mario Kart on Dolphin 5.0 using netplay. It works fine but because there's no save feature I thought maybe if we both used a custom save file I found online that has everything unlocked we could play having more fun, but after we both replaced our save files with the custom one and booted Mario Kart up in Netplay it was like the save file had no effect and it was just like before we imported this custom save file, nothing is unlocked.
We both have the same version of Dolphin and the exact same custom save file called rksys.dat .
Can anyone help me with this or has a solution? Thanks guys

Did you enable load wii save? (maybe not a 5.0 setting? might want to try a newer version of dolphin anyway)

Yeah, that option was added after 5.0, and you need to enable it in order to load save data for Wii games.

It's in the netplay hosting window.
