Recently I've been playing through sonic games but since my brother took the gamecube controllers I've had no way of playing them on my gamecube. So I turned to running it on dolphin. It has been a while since I used dolphin but my first problem was that the emulator couldn't find my directory, no problem but while I found my games the emulator still doesn't show my games. The next and major problem was that the games were running slow. I've used dolphin before on my laptop and I was 100% sure it was running just fine but when I opened the sonic mega collection it was running slow. So I decided to run other games and mess with my settings to no avail. I also noticed a problem with other emulators in which they also run slow. If anybody has a solution then that would be great.
My PC suddenly cannot run Dophin or any other emulator at full speed

You´re using a NVidia GPU, so make sure you´re using OpenGL as it is faster.
Which games you tried? Post screenshots of your configuration (after updating to latest dev build, that is). And make sure you´re not overheating and that there aren´t any intensive programs running in background. Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.
Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.
