I was wondering if i can move a super paper mario (or any other game) savestate from V3.5 to V5.0(10099), just moving the save state file from the 3.5 save state directory to the 5.0 directory causes the v5.0 to crash when i every try to load the state, i know i can move normal save files but i was wondering if it is possible for save states. thanks :)

You *don´t* want to always rely on savestates to begin with...

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 800/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320. 09-26-2019, 02:38 PM
Load your save state in 3.5, go to the nearest in-game save block, make a regular save file and move that to Dolphin 5.0. After loading the regular save, you can make new save states, but don't rely only on them to keep your progress as save states are prone to break...
