I hesitated to post this here, becuase the issue it might not be directly related Dolphin, but since that is where I am seeing it, I figured this might be the best place to ask for help.
I picked up an RX 6750XT a couple of weeks ago on a good open-box deal to replace my old RX 5700. The card was in pristine condition and aside from what I'm about to describe, it seems to work fine, and gives me a ~50% boost across the games and benchmarks I've run.
However, when I play games with Dolphin, it sufferes from frequent audio dropouts when I output game audio through HDMI to my TV. If I use my USB headphones with their own audio device, this doesn't happen. These audio drops are not shader related; when they happen the video happilly continues without a hitch, but I'll lose audio for 1-2 seconds. This does not happen with my old card. I plugged it back in to verify and could not detect any droputs.
I've tried so many things, including changing all sorts of settings on my TV, using a different HDMI slot on my TV, replacing the HDMI cable, adjusting settings and eliminating any sound processing in windows, changing my monitor frequency to 59.94Hz, using AMD Cleanup Utility and resinstalling the drivers, changing the audio driver from AMD's to the Windows default, and perhaps other things I can't remember.
I have not noticed this issue when using yuzu or playing PC games. I haven't spent that much time on them, but no audio dropouts have caught my attention, although I will certainly test some more.
I'm considering returning this card in case it is deffective, but before I give up, any ideas what might be going on?
Sure, I could try just using a different audio device, but I would not want to just work around a potential hardware problem on a card that I can still return.
