The new iPhone now has Open GL ES 3.0, do you think Dolphin can be ported to iOS?

Not without breaking a gazillion of the rules to the app store. The only way to distribute it would be via cydia to jailbroken devices, and by that point no-one can be bothered.
OS: Windows 10 64 bit Professional
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5900X RAM: 48GB GPU: Radeon 7800 XT 09-20-2013, 08:53 AM
When a jailbreak comes out in a few months there will be millions of jailbroken devices.

How do you know? My guess is it would be hugely popular among the jailbreak community, there are lots of emulators for other consoles on cydia, why not Dolphin?

This isn't a good idea IMO, because:
It'd be only for iDevices with OpenGL ES 3.0 If it has OGL 3.0, then it must have a new, faster processer (A7) The newer processors are harder to jailbreak If there was a jailbreak, only users with OGL 3.0 compatible iDevices would be able to use it, and so far, it isn't a worthy amount to put forth such effort to port the emulator. I might think it's a bad idea, but honestly I'm all for it. |
