Howdy all. Looks like a fine intelligent bunch here.
My respects and admiration to the awesome developers and community here. About me: I'm from Canada, but I have traveled through and lived in Asia countries for several years (I was often referred to as "The Big White Guy" there. hehehe). When I was in Asia, I worked at a few jobs: English Teacher, Martial Arts Teacher, Movie Actor and Body Guard. I just came back home recently, and it's kinda like reverse-culture-shock now. Some things I enjoy is using computers, gaming, exercise and Martial Arts. For now I'm kinda "self-employed" as a Webmaster and Martial-Arts Instructor (yes, you could call me a "Sensei" I suppose I'm also a published book-author of a couple different books (about Martial-Arts and Computers... go figure). I'm probably a lot older than a lot of you here, but I'm still youthful and young-at-heart (like a big kid I guess in some ways). If I can be of any help to any of you, just ask. Cheers! 10-10-2009, 05:51 AM

Oh, I didn't saw this thread... might as well introduce myself then
I'm Guin (gu-in), my username comes from Guin Saga, an epic series of japanese books that recently got turned into an anime. I love Nintendo as much as you all do; I started playing nintendo games when I was 5. My first one was Super Mario World... But the game who made me a good gamer was Super Metroid. I'm a huge metroid fan, and I've ended almost all the games in the series (I didn't played prime pinball... Does it matter, anyway?). I like reading manga and watching anime, specially the jump ones. My favorite manga series is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, wich is so goddamn kickass, and my favorite anime is Hokuto no ken/Fist of the north star. I started looking at Dolphin last year; I've been looking at the development since then. I have a Wii and a cube, but I love playing my games all again with better graphics and higher resolutions. It's sooooooo awesome. Dolphin rocks, in many ways. So, I think... that's it. I'm also Brazillian, so, forgive me for my bad english. But I guess I'm understandable
Thanks for the welcome guys
LuisR14: I do sometimes use PCSX2 emulator too (the best PS2 emulator out there I think), as I owned a lot of PS2 games. But I'm probably not the same "Wolf" that you know. Still, nice to meet you. Daco: No, I don't think I'm the same LoneWolf that you probably have in mind. Tough I used to be somewhat active (and still am sometimes) on a few gaming related communities. I even made a few old style Point-n-Click Adventure games that are still around on the net. I usually go by the nick-name of "LoneWolf" or "Barbarian". Lone Wolf was the alias of one of my favorite Samurai characters from an old popular Japanese Movie series (also had a comic-book series and TV series) called "Lone Wolf and Cub". I'm also a long-time fan of R.E. Howards "Conan" novels and used to collect Conan comix years ago, so that's why I sometimes like to use "Barbarian" as a nick-name too. Well, nice to meet you all. Best wishes! |
