Hello Guys,
it's only a week when I'm going to buy my new PC. Because it's supposed to be a high-end pc and I only do things which causes a high cpu load like convert/rendering videos and using emulators I provisionally decided to buy an i7-5820k, a (overpowered) 6-core, haswell-e cpu. Good, even when I'm going to buy a gtx 970, pc games take a secondary role. I'm more interessed in playing Wii/GC-Games with Dolphin, which left unuseable on my current CPU.
Is the i7-5820k a good decision? It's only having a frequency of 3.3 gigahertz and dolphin can only use two of its cores. So I'm unsure if, due to this fact, a 4-core CPU is a better decision.
Please refrain from posts like the CPU its just overpriced, i know that i just wanna have a future-proof pc with DDR4.
I hope you can help.
