Try using the multi-threaded FIFO revision (r4930) and let me know if it increases the speed in Hyrule Field. It needs to have the switch turned on in the .ini file. r4930 uses a different way to synchronise the threads.

Would I be able to use the newer DX9 plugin, I believe there was some fixes since then to the DX9 plugin. If not, I'll just manually piece the multi-threaded code into the DX9 plugin.
:Edit: I forgot Fifo is in VideoCommon and is part of the video plugins, so this will require me to piece in the code for a newer revision. 03-19-2010, 05:20 PM
The threaded Fifo had no improvements regarding the slowdowns. I'm not sure what else can be tested that would provide some useful information that could be used to solve this problem.

I only know that the threaded fifo problems and generally a drop in emulation speed was introduced by some commits of Ayuanx. I'm not saying it's his fault or that he did a shitty job, of course *g* ...actually, where has he gone? Doesn't like Dolphin coding anymore? He did some real big work

Maybe one thing that could be changing in Hyrule field is that the mail-guy is running around? (Was there one?)

No, that small event wouldn't cause the entire area to be bogged down by low fps.

someone with a very strong G-Card (of the newest ones... ATI is better with DX11 feature) should try that... then we can say if it comes from CPU or GPU or the emulator itself...

Definitely not gpu. Combination of cpu and emulator.
