He never did. All he did was tell the OP that he needed to clock his cpu higher, and from that you somehow jumped to the conclusion that he must not understand that clock rate does not = performance.

3.2 Ghz is indeed the sweet spot for decent performance with most modern processors.
Squall has a point even if his behavior is perceived a bit trollish. Most of the time he only blasts the lazy/stupid newbies that can't search, read faqs and rules, so I don't really see much of a problem.

Hyperthreading decreases performace because it don't support dual-core and only use 2 of your 4 virtal cores.
