But it doesnt work. The 2in1 remotes are not recognized (other bluetooth devices are recognised so the module is working)...

edit: they also dont connect using the toshiba stack...

I guess you're using Windows. Third-party Wiimotes don't work well at all with Windows; you will have better luck with trying it under Linux. (You may not even need the Wii's Bluetooth module)

Does someone know what the red sync button does?

Figured out what the red sync button does (by a hardware test with hcidump (GC-Linux) running on a Wii). It simply triggers a vendor-specific HCI event with "08" as payload. Games interpret it as a command to start a Bluetooth inquiry (i.e., scan for Wiimotes) and connect to any Wiimotes that were found.

With the new usb passthrough for Wiimote bluetooth, this may be useful.

Did you pair it with your system? If so, don't do that; just enable Continuous Scanning in Dolphin and press 1+2 to connect.

(The Bluetooth module speaks standard HCI, so that should work completely the same as with any other Bluetooth adapter.)

Another random piece of information:

The module sends 08 only after the button is unpressed.

Also, if you hold it for 10 seconds, it automatically sends the same event, but with 09 as the payload. This normally clears the paired Wiimotes info, and I suppose that's how games know to clear the pairings.

The clones dont pair with the system. I alo tried what you said but no success.

Now i bought two used wiimotes and they work.

Ps: the nunchuck clones are working with the original wiimotes

You may be interested in trying PR 4195 since you have a Wii Bluetooth module.

Anyone using this adapter with passthrough?

Thinking of building a 3.3v regulator if this adapter works better than the others.
