Please do not use the term "video card". GC/Wii does not have a video card since it has no expansion card slots, it has a GPU. Also the second thread handles both the video and audio frontends, not just video.

That's because turning it off will cause the OS to swap the affinity of the threads constantly. So with a quad core cpu for example with the option off you might see 50% load on all 4 cores while with the option on you will see 100% load on two cores and 0% load on the other two. This option should only be used by users using cpus with HT.

HLE is MUCH faster than LLE. Your crash is unrelated since the LLE on thread option doesn't do anything unless you're using the LLE recompiler or LLE interpreter frontends.

Bad idea. You're referring to the safe texture cache option. Most games don't need it at all (all the way to the right) and the games that do need it usually only need it set to fast (second point from the right). Setting it all the way to the left will significantly reduce performance in most games for no benefit. If you're using the cache option then you need it to be set to at least fast (second from the right).

This just doesn't make any sense. Did you mean to say virtual instead of ram? xfb doesn't have a "RAM" option, well it does but it's called real.
XFB should be disabled with most games. It significantly reduces image quality (especially real mode) and can potentially decrease performance. Most games don't need it at all. Some games may experience flickering or may run too fast without it but they are rare and you can look them up in the games section of the forum.

He can't, nobody can. 4x IR + 9xSSAA is 144 times the native resolution (4 squared is 16, 16 times 9 is 144). 7680 x 6336 or 48 megapixels per frame to be exact. That will bring pretty much any game to its knees on any graphics card, even a GTX 580.

We try not to advise people to use widescreen hack. It causes visual problems in a lot of games. After all, it's a hack, it's forcing the game to do something it was not designed to do.

Every build after 6549 (that was the revision that broke it). 4xSSAA will still quadruple your internal resolution but it will not properly downsample. In other words 2x IR + 4xSSAA will look exactly the same as 4x IR.
