Okay, I bought a laptop with a GOOD battery. I never had a laptop with a PERFECT working battery.

I want to know how I can keep it healthy so that it don't die faster.

Ex. Keep it plugged in, keep ur laptop at right temperature, etc.

Does anyone know how to keep my battery at perfect working condition?

I bought this laptop 1.5 year ago
I unplug the battery and leave it in the bag when I'm at home . I won't use battery unless i really need it
The battery condition is as good as new ...
Btw, it's "made in Japan" battery (Panasonic)

The information on the site DefenderX posted the link to is actually outdated as far as I know. You actually should avoid completely discharging modern laptop batteries. Here's a link to some good advice

Good Advice!

Quote:One of the worst things you can do to a Li-ion battery is to run it out completely all the time. Full discharges put a lot of strain on the battery, and it's much better practice to do shallow discharges to no lower than 20 percent

I like the way he phrased it here

On Battery = Jogging
Plugged In = Resting

Always on Battery = Exhaustion
Always Plugged In = Obesity

......?????

Generally, just use it. Just don't keep the mains Power on when the laptop is off. I did that and the battery stopped holding its charge. So in order to keep charge, turn mains power off when laptop is off. Also, msi says for my new laptop that every 3 months to completely drain the battery. This is apparently so you get the full charge of the battery. I personally don't care about the full charge. So generally, just switch off mains when laptop is off. Smile
