Builds have been updated.
Windows has been fixed. If I could get some quick testing on this done. JMC has said that it works for him on latest. 01-16-2014, 11:25 AM
No problem using x86 or x64 using high performance Nvidia card. However, using the HD 4600, the bugs from last time show back up. With no AA or AF, I can hit 3x IR with slight slowdowns (98% speed, lose one or two fps), either backend. On 1.5x IR, I can add some AA or AF, no problem. Go to 2x IR and add any AA or AF, and bam, massive slowdown and that Sonic Colors glitch comes back, only on OpenGL.

This doesn't change rendering. Are you sure that these visual glitches don't appear in the latest master development version?

It was happening in the main branch as well.
There was a minor driver update for Intel, and while the slowdowns still happen, there isn't a glitch anymore. 01-17-2014, 05:47 AM

This branch is made to not change functionality of the main branch. It should work exactly the same.
Clarification: That glitch with the old driver only happened with this branch. The slowdowns happened in both on Intel HD.
The speed was a lot worse than in the master branch using Intel HD in that first iteration you uploaded. If someone is not running the latest version of the Intel graphics, then it is slower than the master branch also, by a few fps (using latest, they run the same). Nvidia runs the same in both 01-18-2014, 06:34 AM
I get a massive slowdown with the latest revisions, Zelda SS title screen was full speed, now it's lagging @ 39fps.
Edit : my system, i7 2600k @4.5ghz, 8gb, gtx770, win8.1 64, using the very latest main branch build. 01-18-2014, 02:24 PM
I assume your issue is the removal of the Vertex Streaming Hack, and you aren't running the latest Nvidia driver 332.21. Any driver version less than that will have speed issues.
Or due to the merging of index_buffer_cleanup branch. |
