It's definitely flashing for me on -3514.

Yessir. To tell you more, it even does it when I initially launch the game...no matter the backend or if the option for bordeless fullscreen is checked or not.
A flag was enabled that allows OpenGL to take control of the monitor whenever dolphin goes into fullscreen. This transition is a lot smoother than D3D exclusive fullscreen. Though it's not officially known as exclusive fullscreen since that is only part of DirectX.
What we can do is add an option to disable that flag again. But are you absolutely sure you can't live with the single flicker? Borderless fullscreen has a lot of downsides compared to regular fullscreen. 10-06-2014, 07:40 AM

I mean yeah, I can live with the flicker, but I would prefer not to. I don't play a lot of fast-paced, frame-exact games like Brawl and Tatsunoko vs Capcom (I mostly play things like Zelda and Xenoblade) so the benefits of exclusive fullscreen are not that important to me. I mean don't get me wrong they're nice to have, but I'd just like an option that lets me get rid of the flash. I don't notice games not running smoothly nor do I notice the input lag in PCSX2. I don't even notice the input lag when V-Sync is on when I play games in general. I guess my eyes are just not that sensitive to latency. I do see screen tearing though, that bothers the ever-living shit out of me.
I said that even on D3D with the 'bordless fullscreen' I still get a screen flash when I go fullscreen. It even does it when I first boot a game (non-fullscreen). Is that normal? P.S. Thanks for the explanation on the new fullscreen flag OpenGL is using. It clarifies some of my doubts. Like why it doesn't freak out when I try to go fullscreen on a second monitor. I'm pretty sure that's an exclusive fullscreen bug. 10-06-2014, 07:43 AM
Karasuhebi: We'd want to accommodate everyone as much as possible. Thank you for understanding; I'll definitely mess with my settings on my radeon drivers to see if maybe there's a solution on that end.
I'd really love it if you were happy with Exclusive Fullscreen in the end, but if we can fix the flash in borderless, that would work too. I don't know why it's flashing for you though. 10-06-2014, 08:10 AM

Wow, that's very nice of you guys. I can see why the users here love you guys so much.
If it helps, I can tell you that the flashing was happening even before I had this 7950, when I was just using the IGP on this processor. So I don't think it's an issue with the AMD driver. Also if it'll help, I'd be willing to have you remote into my computer via VNC, RDC or TeamViewer for you to check things out yourself. I am happy with what Exclusive Fullscreen does, I'm just not happy with what it has to do (flashing the screen) in order to do what it does. So I guess I'll never be fully happy with it haha. But yeah if you can fix it so I have no flash on bordless (and so there's an option for bordless/turning off the new fullscreen flag on OpenGL), that would make me completely happy with how Dolphin is going to be handling fullscreen going forward. Thanks again! 11-09-2014, 04:00 AM
Hi everyone, I've been searching the internet high and low to try and get 3DVision (3DTV) working on Dolphin, but it's not doing anything, when starting Dolphin (Mario Sunshine) it's not detecting a 3Dapplication no matter what I try. Normaly when starting a 3DVision game, I get green letters rightbottom, but nothing with Dolphin/SMS. I'm trying fullscreen on/of, starting directly from prompt/shortcut, renaming dolphin.exe (picked that up from Steam forum), deleting/adding dolphin profile on Inspector etc. Nothing, 3Dvision is simply not "starting". Using latest Dolphin and Nvidia drivers 411. Reading all about ghosting and you guys testing, but I never get that far!

Things to try: Are you definitely in fullscreen and not just in a fullscreen window? Are you using the Direct3D backend and not OpenGL? Have you previously made a 3D profile for Dolphin using Nvidia inspector or similar?
