Desktop (work in progress): Pentium 4HTT 3.06GHz, GeForce4MX420, no sound card (yet...see what I mean about work in progress?) XP X86 SP3 modified

Looking at your Sig, i suggest you should definitely stick to your Laptop for Dolphin Rather than your Desktop.
Also talking note of how it says "Work in Progress", Build it well. : http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-3090.html

Hello. Yesterday i tried to run dolphin for the first time with Resident Evil remake but the FPS dropped from 25 to 5 after the intro and the emulator was using 100% of the CPU. Do you think it's because of my PC dosen't have the minimal requirements? Or it's the configuration? And how do i know if my PC has OpenGL? Check out my PC below:

well the Ghertz are slow i think.... but i can make you hope... i have found a great one emulator...
try this one emulator... set in the configuaration all boxes checket - without optimus quanters... fframelimit to 50 and the watchdog to 1..... go to graphic and disable autoscale and native - for the last boost disable EFB copy..... It makes a perfomence boost from maybe 500% in smash brother melee with it... http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-2332.html

efb copy disablet = less grafik = less to do for pc
optimize - its better feeling... the video is with it on may be syncron to the sound.... but i got a gimp from frames in game frm mabe 4-3 - i have test it out in a 3 battle match in the Final destination arena... i good full speed without for a 4 player match, and with it checked it etting slow... and he just handle 3 with fullspeed... and framskipper - lets look the true.. it looks ugly with it.... like a flip-book - resolution.... well... i got more frames without o.o i dont know y but its true...

In the configuration basic settings i enabled everything except for the cheats and the set the framelimit to 50 and this is really good for the FPS which stays around the 20. In the advanced settings i enabled everything except for the optimize quantizers, the LLE DSP is also checked because i'm using the plugin DSP HLE (by the way: what's this and which one is the best for me? The DSP HLE or DSP LLE?).
In the Gfx general there's no diference in the FPS when setting the resolution to native or any other and also enable the autoscale. All the other things in the advance display settings are unchecked. In the enhancements i don't really know what are the first two things but i put the both in 2x, the force bi/trilinear is unchecked and the post processing shader is off. In the advanced the EFB copy is disabled and this is also very important because the FPS goes up from 20 to 25. Everything else is unchecked. Setting the config and gfx this way was good to me because now i can play with the FPS around 25 and i can see the main hall when Jill, Chris and Wesker enter the house for the first time. Yesterday without these settings i couldn't see a thing except for 3 shadows which were the 3 charaters and 2 blue lights which probably were the candles, everything else was dark. The FPS at this point is still a little slow, around 12 (without these settings the FPS was around 8) but when i start playing the FPS goes up to 25 -/+. Still in the main hall when the camera changes for the first time after the main door opens i see some green lines all over the screen but this also desapears when i start playing and in the first room, in the middle, i see many white lines which looks like a spider web or a curtain. Maybe all this is because of my poor PC. I don't think i should worry about this right? The CPU still works at 100% when i'm playing and this really worries me. I think i'm pushing the CPU to it's edge. Should i stop playing? |
